3 tb Chopped Fresh Mint
1 qt Boiling Water
1 qt Cold Water
Ice Cubes
2 tb Sugar
Mix tea, mint, and boiling water together in a bowl. Allow to
sit for about 6 minutes. Pour through a wire sieve over another bowl
and throw away all the leaves. Add cold water. Cover the bowl and
allow to chill for at least 2 hours or until desired temperature.
Add ice and sugar, serve.

Chinese Noodle Salad

1 1/2 c Snow Peas
Boiling Water
8 oz Rice Vermicelli
1 Red Pepper, sliced thin
1/2 English Cucumber, sliced thin
6 oz Cooked Shrimp
4 oz Shredded Crabmeat
1 tb Fine Chopped Fresh Ginger
1 Chopped Garlic Clove
2 tb Sesame Oil
1/2 ts Black Pepper
1 1/2 ts Salt
3 ts Vegetable Oil
2 tb Lemon Juice
1 ts Red Wine Vinegar
Wash and trim snow peas. Place them in a bowl and pour in enough
boiling water to cover them. Let stand 10 minutes; drain and set
aside. Cook the noodles in plenty of boiling water for 3 to 4
minutes. Drain in colander, rinse with cold water and set aside. In
large bowl, combine noodles, snow peas, red pepper, cucumber, shrimp
and crabmeat. In a small bowl, combine ginger, garlic, sesame oil,
pepper, salt, vegetable oil, lemon juice and vinegar. Pour this
dressing over the other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill before
serving.

1 1/2 lb Beef Sirloin, in 1" cubes
2 Cloves Garlic, crushed

2 tb Lemon Juice
1 tb Soy Sauce
2 Cloves Garlic, crushed
4 tb Peanut Butter
1 tb Lemon Juice
3 tb Soy Sauce
1/4 ts Cayenne Pepper
1/4 c Hot Water
Rub beef with garlic, pressing garlic into meat. Sprinkle with salt,
pepper, and sugar. Thread beef onto skewers. Set aside.
Combine lemon juice and soy sauce; brush over meat. Grill or
broil 3 to 4 inches from heat until browned on all sides.
Combine 2 tablespoons garlic, peanut butter, 1 tablespoon lemon juice,
3 tablespoons soy sauce, cayenne, and hot water ingredients,
beat to blend. Serve with beef skewers.

2 tb Unsalted Butter
1 c Confectioners' Sugar
1 ts Pure Vanilla Extract
3 oz Cream Cheese, softened
6 tb Unsalted Butter, softened
1 tb Sour Cream,
1 tb Pure Maple Syrup
1 ts Pure Vanilla Extract
3 1/2 c Confectioners Sugar
Heat oven to 350F degrees. Grease a 13- by 9-inch baking pan. Sift
together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat 1/2 cup
butter and granulated sugar in large bowl of a mixer on high speed
until light, 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after
each addition. Stop the mixer and add bananas, sour cream and
1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in on low speed. Fold in the dry ingredients
and nuts with a rubber spatula. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean,
about 35 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.
Combine brown sugar and condensed milk in a small saucepan. Cook over
medium heat, stirring often, until mixture begins to bubble. Reduce heat
to low and add 2 tablespoons butter; cook and stir until melted. Remove
from the heat and stir in 1 cup confectioners' sugar and 1 teaspoon
vanilla. Spread over cooled cake.
Beat cream cheese and 6 tablespoons butter until smooth. Stir in sour
cream, syrup and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add enough of the 3 1/2 cups
confectioners' sugar to make a smooth, thick frosting. Carefully spread
over caramel glaze.

1 1/2 c Vegetable Oil
Combine buttermilk, salt and pepper; stir well. Skin cut up
chicken. Place chicken in a shallow container and pour the
mixture over top. Cover and let stand 20 minutes, turning once.
Remove chicken. Discard buttermilk.
Dredge chicken in flour, coating well. Cook in hot oil (350F) until
browned, turning to brown both sides. Reduce heat to 275F. Cover and
cook 25 minutes. Uncover and cook an additional 5 minutes. Drain on
paper towels.

5 c Sifted Powdered Sugar

2 1/2 tb Milk
1 1/4 ts Almond Extract
Assorted Sprinkles & Candies
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. In large bowl, combine first cake mix,
water, oil, and eggs according to cake mix package directions. Fill
each cone with about 2 1/2 tablespoons of batter. Place cones about
3" apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool
completely.
For icing, beat powdered sugar, shortening, butter, milk, and almond
extract together in large bowl until smooth. Ice each cupcake with
about 1 tablespoon of the icing. Before icing hardens, decorate with
candy and/or sprinkles. Store in airtight container.

mayonnaise and whipped cream. Pour into container and place in upper
freezer and freeze. Cut in squares and serve.

bring to a boil and pour over ribs. Continue baking in a moderate
oven, 350F degrees, about 2 hours, basting ribs with the sauce every
15 minutes.

4 oz Diced Pimentos, drained

1 c Whipping Cream
1 c Half And Half
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
Combine flour and cracker crumbs. Cut in Crisco until the mixture
resembles coarse oatmeal. Sprinkle with the water, a tablespoon at a
time. Toss with a fork until crumbs are completely moistened. Press
mixture into bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan. Prick crust with
fork.
Sprinkle the Swiss cheese, ham, onions, parsley and pimentos evenly
over the prepared crust. Beat eggs, cream, half and half, salt and
pepper. Pour over filled crust. Bake at 400F degrees for 350F minutes
or until set. Cool 5-10 minutes. Cut into 1 1/2x2-inch pieces. Serve
warm.

Combine crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar and melted butter; press into
bottom of 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350F degrees for 10 minutes.
Melt chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter over low heat, stirring until
smooth. Combine cream cheese, 1 1/4 cup sugar, and salt, mixing at
medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a
time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in chocolate mixture and
coconut; pour over crust.
Bake at 350F degrees for 55 to 60 minutes or until set. Combine sour
cream, 2 tablespoons sugar and brandy; spread over cheesecake.
Bake at 300F degrees for 5 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool
before removing rim of pan. Chill.

and cheddar cheese. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch or 7 x 11 inch pan,
cook for 30 minutes at 325F degrees.

until tender, covered. Allow the water to cool, then slip off the
skins, trim off the tops, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Mix the
remaining ingredients and pour over the beets. Let marinate for 1
hour before serving.

Brown meat under broiler on both sides. Combine water, catsup,
onions, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, vinegar, salt,
paprika, and red pepper. Pour over beef in roasting pan. Bake,
covered, for 4 - 5 hours at 325F degrees. Check if done after 3
1/2 hours. Bake only until meat is tender. Check occasionally to see
that liquid is still there, adding if necessary.

Cauliflower With Cheese Sauce

2 lb Cauliflower
2 tb Butter
2 tb Flour
1 ts Dry Mustard
1/4 ts Salt

1/2 c Half-And-Half
1/2 c Dry White Wine
1 c Shredded American Cheese
Heat 1-inch salted water (1/2 teaspoon salt to 1 cup water) to
boiling; add cauliflower. Cover and heat to boiling. Cook until
tender, 20 to 25 minutes; drain.
Melt butter in 8-inch skillet over low heat. Stir in flour, mustard,
salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until
mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat.
Stir in half-and-half and wine (mixture may appear to curdle slightly
at first). Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1
minute. Stir in cheese. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is
melted. Pour sauce over hot cauliflower.

Fresh Peach Ice Cream

1 1/4 lb Fresh Peaches
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 1/2 c Milk
1 1/2 c Heavy Cream
1 ts Vanilla
In a kettle of boiling water blanch the peaches for
1 minute and transfer them to a bowl of ice and water
to stop the cooking. Peel and pit the peaches and in
a food processor or blender puree them. In a large
bowl stir together the sugar, the milk, and the cream,
stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the peach
puree and the vanilla, and freeze mixture in an ice
cream freezer according to manufacturer instructions.
